Bible Verse of the day

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Ephesians 2:8-10

It is indeed through the grace of God that we have been saved. We are all made uniquely, we are his workmanship. My friends, pray, and think about how we can continue to serve the Lord, wholeheartedly and joyfully.

First day of uni

This morning I was quite motivated to get up at 8.30am and go to uni nice and fresh. It started up with Chinese, which was really boring, but i still managed to stay awake for the whole 2 hours.

Then, I had a massive break. Decided to go MC and buy birthday present for Jo and ended up buying more things for myself. Looked around for some cat earrings but couldn't find any. and so i had to buy "something else".

Anyways did body pump for one hour and could not believe how many times the instructor had to tell me off for my technique. Looks like the reason why my muscles never grew any bigger is because i have been getting my technique wrong for the past year. -_-. Anyway, my arms and legs hurt now again so you guys will be saved from not getting wing chun-ed by me this week.

After that had another 2 hours business communication lecture. My first management lecture. It was simple, but totally lost my motivation then and had to take a power nap. Surprisingly, during my nap, I could actually still take information in and write down notes after I woke up.

It's either i'm a genius or I probably was just pretending to sleep.

Anyway, a bad way to start up my first day of my last term of uni!

Gloria Wong study hard!

Scienceworks

Today we went to Williamstown and Scienceworks for a little trip since that's the only place we haven't been in Australia. Also, the best thing is that it's only 15 minutes away from my new house! How good is that! Abo drive will get you there! Here are some pictures that we took today!

NO MORE HOPE IN GROWING...after 5 years still the same height..what's wrong with me.

Taking the jump test. Obviously short ppl can't jump.

But sometimes guns can jump pretty high..they get trained in COD.

This picture is specially for Devin. "OH NO I have no more toilet paper what should I do? QUILTON WHERE ARE YOU?"

guns

more guns
Anyways really enjoyed today and for you lame kids out there really encourage you to have a look at Scienceworks if you haven't. Why? Because it's FREE FOR CONCESSIONS!

My thoughts on the remaining Masterchef Contestants

Claire
lol guess i can't really say much about her now but yeah she's quite good but a bit boring in personality.

Callum
He's like the cutest person ever in masterchef. He's always so gan jiong and i just loveeee to see that face he looks so cute when he's scared. He can be a noob sometimes but he still does put up decent dishes for his age. Same age as me! Everytime i see him on tv being all nervous and sweaty i wished i could be there to help him wipe his sweat hehe. disgusting.

Courtney
Bleh. Don't really know much about her besides she's bi. But yeah, she's okay, quite good since she came back from the competition. But obviously no where to the standard of my favourite Marion and Jonathan. It's so unfair for her to be in again.

Adam
is my pick to win the competition now. He's asian, smart, talented, cute, and awesome in cooking. I like how he isn't the typical Malaysian like Poh and Alvin who cooks malaysian food most of the time but he's very versatile and knows how to cook different cruisines. He has the technique and knowledge in food. Put up some awesome dishes so far. Very consistent. My favourite after Marion and Jonathan.

Jimmy
OMG WHY DID THEY ALLOW HIM TO COME BACK TO THE COMPETITION GG AND WHY DID HE WIN THE LAST CHALLENGE? AS IF!!! I still don't understand why he's back. He always goes " i don't want the judges to think that all i can do is curry" but hello i really think curry is the only thing he knows how to make. If Jimmy wins masterchef, I will never eat indian food for the rest of my life. Big call. Why? because i seriously don't think he'll win. Oh wait maybe he can...after today's call and with the judges' past experiences of eliminating good cooks and keep the bad ones in..hmm..maybe i should delete what i just said.

Alvin just got kicked out today which was a bit sad to see considering i support him because he's malaysian but yeah i guess it was fair since his cake failed pretty badly today.

Two favourite eliminated contestant
Jonathan, eventhough everyone hates you, you will always still be my favourite cook in the competition. You are just too funny but talented. I was super upset when you were out. I will definitely fly to Sydney to be one of your first customers.

Marion, you are the best. I reckon you can do much better than opening a winery restaurant thing. Oh well if that's your dream, pursue it.

That is all for now.

GO ADAM! and pleaseeee anyone else can win but NOT JIMMY

Good Old Titus

Today's bible reading in OUR DAILY BREAD is from :

Titus 3:3-11 (New International Version)

3At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. 4But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, 5he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, 6whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. 8This is a trustworthy saying. And I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.

9But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless. 10Warn a divisive person once, and then warn him a second time. After that, have nothing to do with him. 11You may be sure that such a man is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned.

Had a productive day

Had a couple of guns coming over to my new place this morning. One of them complaint too much that he had to walk 30 mins to my house and said he was never coming back again. The same gun ended up wasting $96 +2 during his 5 hour visit. The other one forgot to take the parking ticket off DFO after he paid. Same gun also gave himself a new nickname : 90 in long case.

The two guns, together also kept walking pass Politix while telling Kewell to put his hands down

Why do I hang around with guns, I'd rather hang out with the good guys.

Anyway after that some epic non guns Andrew and Christine came over for a visit. Which was nice, but after a while, because my house was apparently as boring as gun's house that you can't do anything but to play mafia and boring Christian financial board games where everyone wins, they decided to leave.

After that, during the evening, some more cooler ppl came over. Yiing, Amy, and Neil came over for youth camp meeting. We also watched a bit of masterchef before that. Glad to see that Aaron is out and Alvin is still in. Still can't believe that epic gun Jimmy is still in though. Oh well.

The last thing I did tonight was to have Yiing staying over at my place and having a very productive and romantic walking by the yarra river at midnight D&M'ing till nearly 2am.

Tmr- another gun day. Lots of things to do.

Im sure you've noticed how many times I've said the word GUN in this post, just to let you know, GUN is a mixture of doosh+loser+stupid but now it's an internationally known word used in any cases to describe just about anything and everything

Night gunners!

How I entertain myself

It has been nearly a week since I'm stranded here by the river.

I guess it's not thaaat boring. I've been isketching, webcamming, singing with youtube karaoke etc to entertain myself. Just sang Miley Cyrus songs to myself eventhough it's 3am.

Another thing that I've been doing is pretty obvious to guess, especially for most of you who have been victims of my 2 famous lines:

"hey pretend to stranggle me but don't"
or
"hey punch me".

and yes I've been learning Wing Chun from this guy called Master Wong from youtube. Pretty random. But it's really funny.

I only need a few moves to defend.

It's either the neck or the face punch.

People just laugh at me whenever I do it.

Dw one day I'll get over this whole kungfu stage.

But watch out folks.

New Home, New Day, New Life

Welcome to my first post at Docklands, or technically speaking, Yarra Edge.

In this post I will talk a bit about my new house and also about my hometown Balwyn as promised.

I moved into Yarra Edge 2 days ago and surprisingly, I know how to drive from Balwyn to Docklands now (due to my awesome GPS and studying of google maps) but still don't know how to drive from Docklands to Balwyn (will do that this Sunday- if I don't turn up to church make sure you call the police and tell them your friend is stuck at "ab* drive"

Insider jokes aside, to my blog readers, my new address is

54, South Wharf Drive,
Docklands, 3008
VIC

No point trying to search it on your GPS because you won't find it.

If you guys ever want to come and visit me, please type in

99 Lorimer Street on your GPS/Map

That's where Subaru dealer is so once you see that turn right into Foundry Way then left into South Wharf Drive which is my house.

Location : About 1 minute drive from DFO South Wharf and 3 minutes from Etihad Stadium

So far do I like it? Yes it's a nice looking modern house and so far been leaving pretty comfortable in here.

Now time for my memories at Balwyn

Balwyn, my dear Balwyn house, we bought you over the internet 10 years ago in Malaysia, not even being there to see you for auction, we trusted God, and He provided us with such a special house.

You looked so good, my room was initially small, but luckily my never to be seen sister moved out and I finally got a bigger room. You were white, then my parents decided to make you brown. You were opened to the street, and my parents decided to fence you up. you had a bigger garden, and then my parents decided to build a deck on you. Oh well, you still ended up looking really pretty.

You were close to many places. Because of you, I could wake up only 10 minutes before school and still get to school on time. Because of you, I could always just leave my house 2 minutes before church starts and reach to church 1 minute late given that I drive 70km/h on Belmore Road. Whenever i'm hungry, I can just walk out to Kunyit and Red Lattern to get food. Whenever I feel like baking but don't have ingredients, Coles is just 5 minutes away from me. When I thought that my car ran out of battery but actually it was out of petrol, I could just call emergency 0411449226 and he came straight away to save me. Whenever I feel unfit, gym is just 7 minutes away from me.

Balwyn, eventhough I've only driven within Belmore Road, Greythorn Road, Doncaster Road, Whitehorse Road, and Highland Avenue, but I really do cherish the moments we have together.

I spent nearly half my life at Balwyn, and now eventhough I am a stranded city girl, I will miss you always.

Bought a new gaming keyboard today!

Microsoft X4

was going to get the logitech illuminance but they ran out of stock.

and no, this keyboard is not for me to play Sally Spa

it's just because it looked pretty.

Short Review:

Pros:
Good Looking
Good Price if buy from MSY
Backlight looks pro
Good thin size
Touch of keyboard quite good although a bit different to my old keyboard so can't type that fast anymore
Andrew has a similar keyboard
Apparently you can smash 26 keys at once but I don't see how it's useful for me.

Cons:
S1-S6 gaming keys useless for non gamers like me
keyboard space is more narrow so it feels more like a laptop keyboard than a normal keyboard
Spacebar is quite small.

Anyways,

One more day till I get out of Balwyn...

Next post is going to be dedicated Balwyn, my homeplace.

Give me an avatar

Moving house is exciting but at the same time SOOO DRAINING. It's like never ending packing. It's either i'm a noob in packing, or I just have too much junk accumulated over the last 8 years here in Australia. You won't believe how much junk I have....my mum keeps inviting this guy called Sam to come over to my place and collect "donations for Africa". I gave him 12 bags of clothes that day.

It's funny when your parents only allow you to put 3 things in your room. Bed, Table, and Chair.
No shelves, cabinets, or whatsoever to store my junks! Which means all my possessions = throw/donate/sell/giveaway.

The bad thing is I don't only have ONE room to pack, I have TWO rooms to pack because my stuff is scattered everywhere!

I wish I could have a Gloria avatar to help me to pack all my clothings and all I need to do is to sleep and "think".

_________________________________________________________________________ Translated for French Noobs : I just booked a hotel in Paris for 3 nights! It costs $190 a night but that's fine cause it's close to the city. Btw that means you owe me $288 Tim Ho. I will be celebrating New Years in Paris again. I am looking forward to go to Paris!
I want to learn French!

Before I do that, I need to start learning how to read maps. But, I don't know how to read maps. We don't have maps here in Australia, and the Iraq.

My Australian Citizenship Test Appointment

I received an appointment letter today from the Australian government to take my citizenship test on the 16th of August. Still got one and the half more months to prepare for it until I become.....
